How Do I Know If I Have an HDD?
If your laptop is more than 3–4 years old and you bought it for under RM2,500, it almost certainly has an HDD.
To check in Windows:
Press Windows + R → type dfrgui → press Enter
Look at the Media type column
If it says Hard disk drive → you have an HDD
You can also feel the difference. Put your hand on the bottom of your laptop during startup — HDDs produce a faint vibration and a slight ticking or whirring sound. SSDs are completely silent.

Will I Lose My Files?
